What are the importance of studying abroad?

When you study abroad, you have the opportunity to learn about another culture firsthand, form global friendships, and practice a foreign language. The unique challenges you face will help you grow personally, gain a better understanding of the world, and improve your job prospects after graduation. You’ll return home as a global citizen who is more independent, mature, and tolerant of cultural differences.

How do i know that the universities you work with are recognized in Tanzania?

The only way that a parent will know that their child is enrolled in a university that is recognized in Tanzania is by requesting NOC (No objection certificate) that is provided by TCU (Tanzania Commission for University). NOC shows that the university is recognized and a student can study the particular course considering marks that they have scored in there exams.

What do i need to study abroad?

Requirements needed to study abroad vary from country to country. But generally, important requirements include educational transcripts, birth certificate, bank statement of sponsors, a valid passport and visa, recommendations letters. Other countries like Canada, Australia, Uk and USA might need you to do certain exams like ACT, SAT, TOEFL, IELTS etc most of them also known as English Proficiency Tests. For students who have not yet completed their studies, proof of predicted grades is very important during application.

What is the difference between you and other agents in Tanzania?

There is a very huge difference between us and other agents. In a nutshell:-
* We are an association, a group of students helping other students get enrolled in universities abroad.
* Apart from the fees allocated by the university, TASSAA as an association don’t have any extra charges ie :-

  • We don’t charge agency fee.
  • We don’t charge any service fee.
  • We don’t charge any registration or agency fee.
  • Free career guidance and counselling.
  • We provide free airport pickup services to students who are about to study in our partner university.
  • We help you process for your passport and visa for free.
  • We connect you to the Tanzanian Embassy in the country of your destination for direct communication incase of emergency.
  • We connect you to university that at least offer some percentage of scholarships.

How much does it cost to study abroad?

The costs of attending college abroad differ from country to country. Luckily, TASSAA will refer you to the best colleges and universities per your budget.

Do you provide employment opportunities after graduation?

As an association that links students studying abroad, we have developed a system that will help our graduating students easily apply for job opportunities and get linked up to different companies and organizations.

How do you support students who are not financially stable?

One of the TASSAA’s targets is ensuring a vast number of Tanzanian students have access to scholarships. For the many financially disadvantaged students, we will have them apply for scholarships and grants.

How do you ensure students welfare while they are far from home?

As an association we currently have regional directors that represent us in different countries. On the other hand, we work directly with most of our universities in the list. Through our regional directors and communication with university representatives, we can easily track the progress and welfare of our students.
